Uplift - Sculpture in Available Light, South End, Boston
This steel and aluminum sculpture by Mia Pearlman was installed October 2013 at the new Liberty Mutual headquarters, at the intersection of Columbus Avenue and Berkeley Street in Boston.
"Uplift acts as a metaphorical bridge between the new Liberty Mutual Headquarters Building and the surrounding streetscape, stretching from the exterior sidewalk to the atrium of the headquarters. Its flame-like forms curve and swirl, blossoming from the pavement and reaching towards the second section of the sculpture, which hangs inside the building behind a curtain of glass." - Boston Art Commission
